Market System Facilitation Training

A week-long training on Market System Facilitation was successfully conducted for participants from the Ministry of Trade and Industry on the days of 27th to 31st of May, 2019. The training was organized at the Bishoftu Management Training Institute, following a request from the Ministry, which sighted the usefulness of a similar training they have received a year ago.  The training was facilitated by a trainer and co-facilitator from Enterprise Partner’s, and it covered topics including strategic framework and systemic thinking, how to carry a diagnostics study to identify market constraints and develop an intervention with a vision that will facilitate change in the markets system. Twelve participants composed of experts from Leather and Textile Sectors participated in the training. A half-day was dedicated to monitoring and result measurement, which allowed participants to acknowledge the importance of setting targets, making projections and measuring impact to prove and improve. Multiple group exercises were conducted which allowed the participants to develop two interventions each on textile and leather sectors.
